AUSTIN, Texas, November 28, 2023 —TPx, a leading nationwide managed services provider (MSP) delivering cybersecurity, managed networks and cloud communications, has updated its Security Advisory Services portfolio to support companies that must comply with the recent amendment to the Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC) Safeguards Rule.
The updated amendment centers around a notification requirement: financial institutions must inform the FTC as soon as possible — and no later than 30 days — after discovering a security breach involving at least 500 customers. This includes the mandate that companies notify the FTC if unencrypted customer information has been obtained without an individual’s authorization.
